Fully expect SDC tared for this and Boston Bob for the albert bartlett confirming Mullins as the biggest **** spout in racing.
The more i look at sir des champs the more i like him for this race. if he goes rsa he is a lay bet for me with confidence.
March 7, 2012 at 17:03 #395211The race is NRNB with a lot of firms. I’m pretty sure Harpsy Cord will go for a hcap.
Just noticed my Harpsy Cord post is a bit ambiguous, I’ve backed him in The RSA, I feel he needs 3 miles
March 7, 2012 at 19:20 #395225No brainer. Horses schools badly a couple of times before the Festival. His target is switched from a Grade 1 to a Grade 2. Clearly connections not happy, so lay the bollocks off him. I wouldn’t back him at 5/1 to finish in the top 3.
Err, now come on, Zark. You said (in the Peddlers post) the Jewson was the easier race and that is why connections have swerved the Arkle. Now you’re saying he’s not 100 percent and won’t win anything. Make up thine mind.
As mentioned, you can’t run a horse less than 100 percent in any race at Cheltenham IMHO. Would any trainer seriously do that?

March 7, 2012 at 19:29 #395228Don’t understand what I’ve said wrong, Zip.
Horse isn’t at his best, so the target’s been switched to the easier race. I don’t think the signs are good therefore I don’t fancy him in the slightest.
March 7, 2012 at 19:45 #395229Nothing "wrong" – it’s just the thing about it being an easier race.
I’m not convinced about that argument. If Peddlers was 100%, assuming he isn’t at the mo, would he be gong back for the Arkle?
Would you run a horse in any race at Cheltenham if less than 100 percent?

March 7, 2012 at 21:36 #395242Mullins suggests Jewson is SDC’s target in stable tour in Weekender today (up to date interview too), stating ‘owners are represented’ in the RSA. Hence the price contraction on BF.

March 8, 2012 at 00:31 #395274Sorry Shack, I really don’t want to get my hopes up and checking Oddschecker shows no significant movement. Was the statement clear?

Details and clarification would be greatly appreciated

Showing 7s on BF, which is a damn sight shorter than the 18s or so it had moved to at the weekend.
Mullins words in the Weekender were "He’s been aimed at the Jewson at this stage as his owner (gigginstown) is well represented in the RSA".
March 8, 2012 at 11:03 #395330He’s just been cut from 6-1 to 4-1 with Corals. Someone obviously thinks he’s Jewson bound.
March 8, 2012 at 11:11 #395331Went to a Preview Night at Newbury yesterday. All the panelists seemed to think there was more to Peddlers switching than the official reasons. Some didn’t think he’ll turn up.
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2012 at 19:14 #396030Finally, after far more twists and turns then I would have cared for, it actually looks as though Sir Des Champs is at last Jewson-bound
Surely that much action on Betfair at this late stage can only point him this way?

Which was always the obvious plan – just couldn’t understand the RSA talk but that and betting had me worried for a time

… also along with Sprinter Sacre routing the Arkle field, McCain probably justified going for Jewson.
Peddlers Cross for me too Mullins horse the danger.
