Agree Helcat. Just watched the replay on RTV and the pulling up looks odd. OK, the horse made a poor jump at the last of the railway fences. If that was such an issue, why didn’t De Boinville pull him up straightaway?
Despite the two iffy jumps, he still isn’t travelling that badly and is only just behind the horse that finished second when all of a sudden he is eased off and pulled up. A horse that has drifted from 2/11 to 8/11.
No amount of spin can make it look good. Especially as Henderson is on record as saying the horse was acting like a lunatic when being saddled and the horse was being laid on Betfair.
Of course, you would never know from RTV’s replay. The betting show on that implies he opened at 8/15.
