Jane Chapple-Hyam sends just one horse to Kempton and one to Lingfield today, both all-weather tracks.
JCH’s record at Kempton is much stronger than her record at Lingfield.
Since January 2007 until 19th March 2011, the trainer’s all-weather Kempton stats are:
146 runners
30 winners
20.5% strike rate
173% return on investment at Betfair odds (100% ROI=break even)
Since January 2010 till 19th March this year her figures are:
68 runners
11 winners
16.2% SR
118.9% ROI
Shane Kelly who rides her Kempton runner today – Dvinsky in the 4.10, has a good record for the yard at this track on the all weather, showing an ROI of 140.2% since January 2010 till March 19th 2011 (2 wins and 2 seconds from 8 rides). Kelly’s overall record for the yard in the same period, at all tracks, is just 5 wins from 47 and an ROI of 52.2).
Dvinsky is around 10/1. This will be his 54th run at Kempton where he has won 8 times, been second 9 times and third 13 times. I doubt he will get lost on the way round. A front-runner, he is, arguably, not well drawn for that role today but comes here after winning gamely last time out.
Good luck
Joe
