Add me to the list of those who think Chapman’s low head carriage is a bit of a concern.
January 8, 2017 at 20:20 #1280897Week two viewing figures are in…
January 8, 2017 at 20:28 #1280898She’s extremely easy on the eye but do they really need their own weather girl on the show?
January 8, 2017 at 20:31 #1280899I reckon Chapman would be a much better presenter than Oli Bell, who although is nice enough, was a bit out of his depth and was a bit like a rabbit in the headlights….Chapman on Sunday Forum is excellent, and can always get the best out of both subject matter and his guests.

Much prefer the Forum when Hunt takes over. Whenever Chapman takes the reins it’s all about him – as usual.
January 10, 2017 at 12:41 #1281218125,000 tuned into itv racing morning programme
the main show has not been given an official figure but it is less than half of the initial show on itv the previous week which suggests around 300,000
January 10, 2017 at 13:48 #1281237The opening theme to the racing is hardly memorable

It’s garbage isn’t it. But not even memorably crap.
January 10, 2017 at 22:52 #1281355I can only wholeheartedly agree with what Triptych has written. Even more so because the dreaded Chapman pointed out the fact that on course bookmakers only offer 1/5 odds, something that I have moaned about for years. I missed the morning line programme but Mike tells me it was very good. Only problem is that most of the TV’s in my house can’t get ITV4 [yes, I have a telly on in every room when the racing is on] but that’s my problem and may, at last, force me to get an engineer out. At last we seem to have programme makers that actually listen and act upon what people really want.
Moe I was having trouble getting ITV4 on my BT YouView Box last Saturday. I couldn’t watch or record on it so had to watch it on SkySat box which is a pain as it doesn’t have all the pause programme etc features I have on YouView.
Any way today the YouView Box just froze with a message that we had lost our signal. One of the options to restore service was to retune the channels which hadn’t been done for 2 years. I did this and was pleased to find ITV4 up and running for watching and recording.
Maybe a little retune of channels will set one or two of your Tv’s to receive ITV4 Moe..it’s worth a try and you’ll be all set for the Cheltenham Festival.. happy viewing..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 11, 2017 at 06:54 #1281385You can watch ITV4 live “on-line” and also catch-up with the two previous racing programmes if you register:
January 12, 2017 at 12:27 #1281566January 12, 2017 at 13:17 #1281580A friend of mine asked yesterday, ‘Why was there no racing on TV on Saturday? I checked right through ITV, BBC, Channel 4…nothing.’
I wonder how many were in that boat?
January 13, 2017 at 01:21 #1281702A big shame ITV are showing no further racing on their main channel until Cheltenham. It’s certainly not going to raise the profile of their coverage or get any momentum behind it.
The bias of the ITV1 broadcasts towards Flat racing also seems poorly thought-out. Pity as there is much to like about the new programme.
January 13, 2017 at 13:11 #1281755Tomorrow ITV are showing “The Mummy Returns” a film they have shown countless times on ITV2/4
January 14, 2017 at 11:50 #1281993How very kind of Luke Harvey to use all his experience as a female jockey to tell Lizzie Kelly that she doesn’t suffer from discrimination.
January 14, 2017 at 12:52 #1282029I note there is a short feature “Nijinsky’s Triple Crown” scheduled before today’s coverage, for those able to tune in 10 minutes early.

….. and the sad fact is the viewing figures will probably still be higher than the racing!!!
