“Didn’t notice too many people complaining about the medias campaign of misinformation and twisted stories about Jeremy Corbyn”!

    ——————-

“Misinformation and twisted stories” you’re not able to mention because they don’t exist. LOL

If Steve Baker became leader I would rather vote for Starmer, GSP.

Starmer thought if he gets a fine it’ll mean Johnson would have to go.
Now he must be regretting his beer.

I’d be an excellent prime minister – for about a day.

If my gerbil-like attention span won’t get me through your average one-hour political news programme, what chance would I have doing that stuff day after day after day?

Even now, with the peak of the drama passed, I’ll be more focussed on the first day of the July meeting.

It’s a bit like a lefty asking in puzzlement: “what’s wrong with Corbyn?”

Baker would be marginally more popular with the average British citizen than Jacob Rees Mogg.

The more right wing – or left wing, regarding Labour – a leader is, the less suitable they are to be leading the nation.

But no one on the right or left can ever see that as they think their politics is normal and there’s something wrong with everyone else.

From Guido Fawkes: “In 28 days, he matches Theresa May’s tenure. The rumour in SW1 is that Boris’s desire to continue on as PM until party conference is not wholly disconnected from wanting to outstay his predecessor.”

    Told you so!

“As I write these words, Gordon Brown is still holed up in Downing Street. He is like some illegal settler in the Sinai desert, lashing himself to the radiator, or like David Brent haunting in that excruciating episode when he refuses to acknowledge that he has been sacked. Isn’t there someone – the Queen’s Private Secretary, the nice policeman on the door of No 10 – whose job it is to tell him that the game is up?”

Have a guess who wrote that back in 2010.

As our leftie friends have said GSP, Baker is too right wing for me. I am centre-right and as a Prime Minister I’d rather have Starmer than Baker. That said, I’d also have to consider how right the Conservative Party in general was at the time, as well as how left I thought Labour is as to who I’d vote for in a general election..

“Leftie” being anything to the right of him, of course.

I consider myself centre-left – Corbyn is a leftie, but not me.

Anyone to the right of me is on the right, the far right if I suspect they’d eat a live baby for breakfast before they’d pay more income tax.

    We all do it.

    You’re having a “giraffe,” GT.

You do it all the time – possibly the worst offender on the forum.

Anyone left of you is “on the left,” as if you epitomise the epicentre of normality, over and over like a broken record.

    Bull….
That’s just an excuse made by the left when they’re trying not to be seen as left wing.

Tony Blair, Michael Heseltine, Rory Stewart and probably Ken Clark are all left of me, but I wouldn’t describe any of them as on the left. They’re all centre.

Hilarious – three of those are Conservatives.

If you’re in denial about it, fair enough – at least you’re not alone, half the planet think they’re moderates despite coming from all over the political spectrum.
