Surely that isn’t the terminology and if it is why the hell is that the terminology

It is the terminology that was used when I was younger. Do not hear it quite so much now – they tend to say “euthanised” instead.

I did cringe slightly when I heard him say it. Surely ‘put down’ would suffice.

Agreed chestnut or even if he said ‘she suffered a serious injury and sadly had to be put to sleep’ would have been kinder and shown a bit of respect to connections.

Very sad day indeed losing Houblon Des Obeaux also.
