Have we hit that part of the season where it’s not worth having a punt as horses that haven’t run for 6 months are romping home or just going out for a run, blow the cobwebs away. The AW specialists are now coming to the end of their season and had enough. I know the AW is not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoy it over the winter months, but when you see AW form horses being done , it does make you wonder.
Has anyone out there have experience of selecting certain races, or maybe the turf yards who slip one in under the radar. Do certain trainers now use this opprortunity to get a run in, are ones better at it than others with actually sending out winners, rather than just a blow at this time of year.
Comments welcome.

– Runners who have not being campaigned on the AW all winter
– Runners with a smattering of AW form as 3YO’s in Sept returning as 4YO’s
– Runners ridden by good jockeys who are also returning from their winter breaks.Typically these start in Class 5 races and progress to Class 4, some invariably run up a sequence
