Is Haydock going to be abandoned?

Maybe the situation has changed but didn’t racecourses have to offer a full refund if only two races were run? If so, I can see why they want to run the race on the straight course.

I wouldn’t rule out an infestation of Cockchafer grubs. They can cause huge damage to grass making the surface like a sliding carpet.
