<!– s:lol: –>March 20, 2011 at 16:24 #346394I would say yes going on last years form. Dont know how other horses have developed over the winter though. No doubuting he is the horse to beat.
March 20, 2011 at 16:29 #346396Roderic O Conner has said to have flourished over the Winter if that is any help according to RP

Good luck in what ever you do
March 20, 2011 at 20:13 #346457too risky I would say – I doubt if he’ll be much shorter than evens on the day and there is a lot that can go wrong before then.

is he value at Evens? well, a lot depends on what type of punter you are in truth? if you’re a value man then you’ll be avoiding Frankel like the plague at them odds hoping something can not nesseciarly beat him but put up a decent challenge.
Would it be the correct decision to take on Frankel? probably not, but if you’re going to take him on in any race then it wouldn’t be the Guineas because of the unknown quality factor with the rest of the field and you’ll have a better picture of his rivals and Frankel after the race.
Would you rather lose on Frankel in The Guineas coming off his 2 year old career?
or
Would you rather lose on Frankel in The Derby coming off a win in the Guineas?
March 21, 2011 at 22:06 #346638Because there is so much uncertainty, and as seen with Binocular, anything can happen in racing, definitely wouldn’t be backing him right now at Evens. If he wins his prep, and then is available at Evens on the day, definitely fill your boots.
March 21, 2011 at 23:42 #346662gone 4/5 with coral an d hills now. think im goona take the evens with ladbrokes tomorrow in a double with uncle mo.
March 23, 2011 at 14:07 #346891You must first decide if he will win. Then you decide if he is a fair price if not you don’t back him even if you think he will win because the price must tell you that you are being had.The famous gambler JPMcmanus would never back a horse unless he was getting a fair price no matter how good the horse was.He decided what was a fair price. So I suppose you have to do your homework before making your decision. What happened before should not influence your betting decisions.Never rush in to make up for losses. That only leads to more of the same. The bookmakers will win even if he (Frankel)does.
March 23, 2011 at 14:35 #346892I’d rather back Pathfork e/w at 10-1. He could give Frankel plenty to think about.

I agree with this line of thinking, although he will probably be odds-on if he wins his prep cozily. There are even money shots out there that have far more certainty to them.

If he runs – he wins, imo, and any offers around 4/5 nrnb should be regarded akin to finding money in the street.
You heard it here first.
March 25, 2011 at 10:31 #347144i think evens is a sensible price as the horse has destroyed everything he’s come up against.
if henry gets a run into him before the 2000, i assure you he wont be evens after he hacks up. so get on it why you can in my opinion.
a lot of people are debating the derby idea, 5/1 seems shortish to me. but again, if he wins the guineas, i assure you he will be shortened for the derby.
its all a matter of how he runs in the guineas to determine the future races.
