Your brother mentioned a surprise last week but nothing materialised. He ended up deleting that part of the message so don’t be getting into trouble just for a bit of gossip.;)
https://theracingforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=15&topic=8479&start=30
So, he’s being supplemented for the Stayers hurdle? Money well spent!
IG1, you’re such a tease!
Come on, you can tell us. We’re your friends!

February 8, 2006 at 13:55 #95622Blinkers! Tongue strap, cheek piecs, visor.
All of the above?
February 8, 2006 at 14:39 #95623I can confirm that Jonjo himself will be coming out of retirement to ride Iris’s Gift.
February 8, 2006 at 14:41 #95624Maybe he will be held up. But this would be no major surprise. Either would blinkers for that matter.
February 8, 2006 at 15:06 #95625It’s an entry for the Grand National:bad:
The wee lassie is playing with you all
"Come on, you can tell us. We’re your friends!"Indeed Steve
Aston. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was something like different riding tactics appear to resolve some of the horses jumping problems.
February 8, 2006 at 16:50 #95626youll all just have to wait till his next run
When is it? Stayers Hurdle Day:wink:
February 8, 2006 at 16:57 #95628he has got a few options will probably have one run before the GOLD CUP!
February 8, 2006 at 17:10 #95629He could warm up for the GC in the Stayers:biggrin:
February 8, 2006 at 17:14 #95630ap will ride as far as i know unless he gets injured.
AND NO HE WILL NOTR WARM UP IN THE STAYERS!!!!!!!!
February 8, 2006 at 18:12 #95631He will – John McCririck has been booked for the ride at the Stayers Hurdle – but Jonjo has confirmed it’s just a prep run for the Gold Cup, where Terry Biddelcombe will be getting the ride. He’ll be going for the Betfair Bowl, then Grand National, Scottish National and the Betfred. Somehow they are going to get him into the Derby as well.
February 8, 2006 at 19:12 #95632He will – all he has to do is take off his rings!!!
February 9, 2006 at 10:11 #95633Obviously no body here thinks Iris Gift hab=snt a chance in the Gold Cup – thats grand but lets not be childish. He won the Stayers already ,so why not go for thge blue riband. Might as well because i dont think Mr.Lester is stuck for a few pound either…Ye are slagging Iris Gift so much and his connections i’m starting to like him…..Any one offering odds on a match bet
Iris Gift v Monkerhostin (may be tempted)
