Now have Solwhit in 6, Hurricane Fly 4, Donnas Palm 2, Voler La Vedette 2, Dunguib 1 and Go Native 1. Need one more.
How many times (if any) is Rite Of Passage going to run? Like to include him, but if he’s only having two runs in a season is it worth it?
Value Is EverythingNovember 11, 2010 at 00:45 #327446He won’t be out until Christmas at Leopardstown at the earliest (that’s normally when DK brings out his better NH horses).
I don’t think he’ll be heavily raced over timber because they’ll surely want to give Ascot another crack next summer – Leopardstown (December), Leopardstown (January), Cheltenham (March) & possibly Punchestown (April). You’re looking at four runs max and that’s being optimistic.
He won’t run in, never mind win, the Irish Champion Hurdle, but I think Shinrock Paddy is a horse that will win a lot of races this winter. Our staying hurdlers are very poor, and this horse could hoover up a lot of valuable Grade 2s (the Woodies Hurdle, the Galmoy, the Boyne). War Of Attrition won two of them last year as a declining 11yo so they don’t take much winning.
November 11, 2010 at 02:40 #327451Thanks for the suggestions.
Don’t think I will put Rite Of Passage in as he’s 49/1 on Betfair for the Champion. At least double what you’d expect if he were a probable runner.Interesting Shinrock Paddy IC, Mourad would be another to mop up those races
Value Is EverythingNovember 11, 2010 at 18:14 #327543Last question regarding the 10 to Follow. Wish I’d called the thread something else now.

Not Irish (despite the name) but….
Anyone heard where Punchestowns is starting off this season? Does not seem to be very high in the betting for any of the main early season chases. Is he in A1 condition now?Value Is EverythingNovember 11, 2010 at 18:21 #327544Graduation Chase at Sandown on the Friday of the Tingle Creek meeting was the starting point for Punchestowns last I heard GT.
November 11, 2010 at 22:57 #327586Cheers IS.
Value Is EverythingNovember 11, 2010 at 23:09 #327595Sizing Europe for staying chases, and IF Hurricane Fly stays sound, hes the best we got, although i wont be writing off Go Native just yet after one shocking run, too soon.
