I’m new here. attempted 2 posts, they disappeared into the abyss. The site seems a bit scattergun. Guess I will get used to it.
August 2, 2015 at 15:46 #1155760Anyway. Just want to discuss Irish racing. We all know racing is bent to a certain extent, but Irish racing takers the biscuit, the key is knowing what’s trying. oLve it.

August 2, 2015 at 16:04 #1155803What an odd system they have for deciding champion trainer at Galway?
And the reserve system they have were better fancied stable companions come in on the day of the race beggars belief.
August 2, 2015 at 16:10 #1155807A couple of oft cited reasons as to why corruption exists in UK racing is that there’s too much racing and not enough prize money.
In the Irish model, you have;-
Better prize money = Less impetus for corruption
Less racing = Horses have to try in order to get runsDoes this hold?
August 2, 2015 at 18:11 #1156025Wasn’t talking about prize money. I love the interviews on ATR with that halfwit O’ryan. ‘sure he shows nothing at home.’ Then wins by 20 lengths at 25/1. O’Ryan obviously picked the fav. Weaver & Harvey are priceless ridiculing the fool on a Friday, the clown doesn’t even see it.
August 7, 2015 at 06:49 #1164334Trying to eliminate non – triers is also true of UK racing, a difficult task. I have failed to profit from Irish racing over the years, it’s baffling.
