Well I reckoned Golden Horn was nailed on but as big head Dettori is now aboard and has already made his excuses as to why he won`t win, maybe best to look elsewhere, Kilimanjaro stays all day and must have a crack. Also just like Qualify, Moheet has no mention and he has been given two diabolical rides by Dettori, always running on at the finish and I reckon is totally underated,at least Pat Dobbs will give him a ride. Anyway there the ones I have backed. Good luck everyone.
June 6, 2015 at 12:34 #1095622Dettori’s chances on Golden Horn is reminiscent of Snow Ridge in 2004 … but Snow Ridge didn’t stay.

‘If’??…..When ‘Golden Horn’ is blowing like the wind inside the last furlong,A painting created by my good hand will just be unleashed into the public domain.A Masterpiece on a par with ‘Ruins of the Forum’ by none other than Giovanni Canaletto himself..This will go down deep into the anals of Horseracing History.I see one bookie is offering an AOB match bet, Giovanni Caneletto Vs the other two Hans Holbein and Kilimanjaro with 5/6 whichever you choose.
If you want a match bet at Evens Gord?…
You have Giovanni and I’ll have Hans and Kili.
Winner buys the other Fish And Chips next time we meet at Newbury. As Delia would say, where are you?
First horse of the three to pass the post wins.

Knew he was Joni, that’s why I said it.
Thought he’d have a better mobile though. Lol.Value Is EverythingJune 6, 2015 at 14:30 #1095822June 6, 2015 at 14:31 #1095824Blackbeard to conquer the World
June 6, 2015 at 14:46 #1095855One last thought re Golden Horn…
For those who reckon the extra 1.5 furlongs won’t be a problem, did you know that the winning time from the Dante (g-f ground) is over 25 seconds short of the likely race time today. Normally a furlong and a half would be around 19 seconds seconds so that extra distance is the equivalent of nearly two furlongs… when his stamina might already be ebbing…
Just saying…
June 6, 2015 at 15:31 #1095878I’ve eventually settled on something along with Moheet. I’ve added added Kilimanjaro and thankfully taken 20/1, as it’s price is dropping a fair bit, 14/1 now.
I’d settle for either being placed.
Good luck all.
June 6, 2015 at 15:40 #1095895I finished on a high, first second and third tipped for the tricast.
Big mouths flapped and were proved hollow.
Pedigrees were proved wrong.
That’s it from me readers, I promised my wife I was retiring after this race.
Be lucky guys and gals.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 6, 2015 at 15:41 #1095910Well done Stevie!!! All trees in the Dante were they?!!! The first two are proper Group 1 animals. Delighted for Johnny G – the perfect gentleman!!!

June 6, 2015 at 15:48 #1095937It’s wonderful when a horse goes clear in the Derby.
Awsome.
Daylight between the first and second and daylight between second and third.
Something to celebrate.
4th’s cost me fish and chips, but who cares with a result like that.Value Is EverythingJune 6, 2015 at 15:49 #1095938B*gger the breeding…trust your eyes.
June 6, 2015 at 15:51 #1095939Gorgeous horse and great publicity for racing with Frankie winning.
June 6, 2015 at 15:51 #1095940Very well done all the Golden Horn supporters and backers. That was visually very impressive and my immediate post-race thoughts are that the front two are very good indeed.
No doubts excuses of sorts will emerge for some of the beaten ones but only time will tell if they have any hope of reversing the form. Hard to imagine it.
Well done again, guys.
