Frankie got the fractions right that time ;o)

Fresher horse won, Paddington too many hard battles of late.

    Typical frankie

Bounces back from a poorly judged ride on gregory to getting it spot on with mostahdaf

Paddingtons head carriage is very questionable I have to say

Got away with it in the eclipse but not today

Safe to say having followed mostahdaf as a 3yo and 4yo I gave up on him too soon

Ah id say thats harsh on paddington nathan, just one race too many, the winner did it well though

Dettori made up for a poor ride in the Voltiguer, have to say I was surprised with those tactics – the favourite looked uncomfortable and was hanging…..maybe a race too far for him today.

Nashwa has run a screamer too and nabbed 2nd – the race was run to help her settle and for a moment I though she was going to do the pair of them, would still like to see her back at a mile though.

LD, I agree with that. She’s also had five vey tough races this season. Speaking of which: Is she probably in season since Hollie kept her away from the colts?

Also, well done to the ante-post brigade….. Just had a saver on the reverse FC with Nashwa.

Think that was a precaution more than anything else – probably due to the winner getting really worked up at Royal Ascot before the POW.

Paddington finished cream crackered not even 2nd, his busy season caught up with him there as i said. Right tactics to bust Paddington’s gut from winning connections.

Suspect Hollie didn’t want to make the stable companion coltish, Ruby; so kept her apart from the colts.

Wonder if paddington will be retired now or if they’ll keep going to the well

He’s a good low 120s horse who will win races buy I’m not sure they have anything to gain by carrying on. I hope he stays in training but they may make a business decision.

That makes sense about the winner being protected from her.
But anyway, what a season SHADWELL is having!!!!!! Well done in so many ways…..

Could it also be a stamina issue as well?

The time was 1.7sec faster than standard and don’t forget that this is 10.5F furlongs as well.

I hope he stays in training as there is plenty more to aim at.

I would think Paddington losing second is just as likely less stamina rather than a hard season. Although it could be just how good they all are.

Paddington’s form was nowhere near as good as the betting suggested today.

More to do with him getting an expected soft lead and Mosta’s supposed inconsistency.

Moore reckons the Goodwood race may have left a mark as he didnt give him the same feel as usual but wd to the winner. Think they will carry on after a break. Has a Cox Plate entry.
