April 8, 2010 at 18:09 #288630Welcome Adam and the best of luck, I hope you enjoy your time here
April 8, 2010 at 18:14 #288631If it was a tribute to anyone it would be Jerry Lee Lewis and most certainly NOT Justin Lee Collins!…he’s about as funny as Russell Howard telling Lenny Henry jokes.
Thanks for the kind words everyone… but don’t worry I’ll be well prepared for the backlash!
April 8, 2010 at 18:41 #288644Greetings Adam! Now lets have an Ante-Post fancy for the 2000gns Sir please!

I appreciate things have gone seriously downhill ever since but Flipside was certainly funnier than anything JLL ever did!

April 8, 2010 at 22:33 #288730Really good write up on the National; the first mention from Cloudy Lane from anyone so far, I think. As I heard last year that the McCains had booked a room for Cloudy Lane’s lass because ‘when her horse wins she will be too drunk to go home’ I, too have had to have another bet on him this year! Welcome, Adam. Strange how us normally pessimistic midlanders are so optimistic when it comes to backing horses in big handicaps…..
April 8, 2010 at 22:41 #288731Best of luck Moehat….hopefully he’s slipped under the radar and we can get 66s!

April 9, 2010 at 08:15 #288773Welcome Adam. If you don’t mind me asking, whereabouts in West Brom do you hail from? I’m also from those parts.
April 9, 2010 at 16:48 #288937Smethwick unfortunately…being from near West Brom yourself you’ll know why I said unfortunately!
April 9, 2010 at 16:56 #288944Smethwick; not as bad as Hockley. Think they even had to rename Hockley after I left to ‘Newtown’. They filmed Cathy Come Home in the next street to us! It was grim in those days…..
April 9, 2010 at 18:26 #288977I remember watching that in Sixth Form.
Yeah, Newtown rings a bell…..still can’t be as bad as Cape Hill or Lozells.
April 9, 2010 at 18:43 #288979Welcome Adam. I’m from Oldbury which as you will know is only about four miles from West Brom. Good to see Sandwell emerging as a racing hotspot.
April 10, 2010 at 08:52 #289136I know Oldbury very well.
I always thought Sandwell was the new racing hotbed when I used to walk around a few years ago(!)
Best of luck everyone with giving the bookies a bashing today. I had a nightmare last night that Pricewise was going to half the prices on my selections….but as someone once said ‘2 out of 3 aint bad’….what an idiot – wish I’d have taken the prices!
April 10, 2010 at 08:56 #289140"……Big Fella Thanks has ticks in all the right boxes…….."
Points deducted, Adam, no cliches allowed I’m sorry.
