Brody Dalle is hot!!!
I saw The Distillers at Leeds and that was the only set which sent me to the first aid tent because whilst I was in the mosh pit, somebody managed to slice some skin of my ankle whilst jumping around. Since I took a variety of ”painkillers” and mind expanders before, during and after the gig – the time spent behind the stage was brief. Visually the best set of the weekend because of all the rubbish being chucked into the air.
Probably the most painful pit that great weekend was the Bronx one where I got smacked full force in the chest. I couldn’t breath properly for weeks afterwards!
Right now I’m listening to
Nirvana – I hate myself and I want to die
December 4, 2004 at 21:13 #90157Recently got Sky installed (again) for the Racing (shock) and the music channels, only to find that theres now a million music channels listed, which should mean more choice, or so you’d think.<br>I seem to spend forever flicking through just looking for something different, even the Alt music channels just play pop punk and M Mansons covers instead of his old decent stuff. I’m Headshaking and eye-rolling right now!
Kotkijet – If you bash someone whilst moshing, do you say sorry or pretend it was somebody else?<br>

December 4, 2004 at 21:57 #90159Hi Twinkle Twinkle
I never intentially punch somebody in pits. Generally, I run around sporadically looking for people to shove or simply charge into. If my fist connects with somebodys face, I’d check to see if he was hurt or offended. Most people I do bash seem to take the view I do in that when you enter a pretty dense pit, you are more than likely to take a few stray fists to the body.
If I’ve hurt somebody, I normally take in their reaction before making my own reaction.
If he looks hungry for more – I’ll charge right back at him.<br>If he bottles it – I’d either apologise or look for somebody else to smash into.<br>If he falls then I immediately pick the fellow up and slap his back.
I’d never pretend it was somebody else because I’m a very responsible person.
Hope that answers your question and welcome to the Kotkijet show guest-starring the racing forum:biggrin:
I love your name by the way!
December 4, 2004 at 22:10 #90160And has anyone noticed that the music channels on Sky all have ads on at the same time so if one channel has an ad u can’t switch over and listen to a song on another channel.
December 5, 2004 at 00:06 #90161Cheers Kotkijet, the unwritten rules of the pit – nice.
How about having to listen to endless ringtones in the breaks, after a few of them I just give up.
December 5, 2004 at 07:30 #90162Sorry Burroughill:( <br> Only spare ticket is for missus and i dont think she’d be to happy  <br>"You can get em on ebay if you wanna be ripped off":o

December 5, 2004 at 15:18 #90164Smile and Elgar’s Cello Concerto today.
Yesterday I had The Boy with the Thorn in his Side on endlessly after hearing it on the excellent Blackpool the other night had reminded me how brilliant it is.

<br>You aren’t the only one, heard of most of them but not heard anything by them except maybe Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs – is that the right one?
Here goes, especially for Robgomm – The Thrills, The Killers, Armand Van Helden, Khia, Missy Elliot, KC and the Sunshine Band, Tears for Fears, Wagner – have i covered all genres?
December 5, 2004 at 21:30 #90167Elvis Costello – Beyond Belief (showing my age!)
Can anybody tell me the names of a couple of tunes that bug me:
1. The one where the guy in the video is strangely dressed in rather dogdy showjumping kit including velvet cap? Good song though…
2. The theme behind the new Landrover Discovery ad where the car almost crashes off the side of the planet.
Thanks in advance
December 5, 2004 at 21:31 #90168I’ve got Lost In A Melody by Delays in my head right now. Great song.
December 5, 2004 at 21:45 #90169<br>Ok, ok…
The Thrills – vague recollection of the name<br>The Killers – no recollection of the name<br>Armand Tanzarian – Principal Skinner<br>Armand Van Helden – dance music <br>Khia – erm…<br>Missy Elliot – Hip Hop/Rap/Virgin Mobile<br>KC and the Sunshine Band – hmm…<br>Tears for Fears – heard of, don’t listen to<br>Wagner – composer/horse
Right then, now you sir (and anyone else):
Keb Mo'<br>Eric Bibb<br>Rory Block <br>Bob Brozman<br>Jon Gomm (ahem…)<br>Michael Hedges<br>Tommy Emmanuel<br>The Rutles (C-H-E-E-S-E-A-N-D-O-N-I…etc.)<br>Edie Brickell
Ok, ok, they’re not all different genre’s but if one of you has heard of every one that’d be cool (especially Jon Gomm, even better if you’ve seen him live…)
Rob.
December 5, 2004 at 22:04 #90170Rob. Look up The Killers. You NEED it. They’re great. XX
December 5, 2004 at 23:02 #90171Saw the Fall at the weekend, the current lineup does a fine live act and is surprisingly danceable, though they remain as incomprehensible as ever.
December 6, 2004 at 15:45 #90172If you haven’t heard "Sex And Sun" by Aloud, or watched the video, then you’re seriously missing out.
Have been listening to bits and pieces off my Clubland Extreme 2 CD this morning, and Natasha Bedingfield.
