Wonderful old Hurricane Lamp put down yesterday at age 20. He had it all in my opinion, looks, talent, and bags of character. Loved him to bits.
He was also a lucky horse in his life, to have been with people who loved him, and everybody did.
He was retired as Oliver Sherwood’s hack where he enjoyed a brilliant retirement and being admired and spoiled by all. He had something of a reputation as a local legend, much deserved!
I’m sad he only lasted until age 20, we thought he would go on and one and on. But he was with friends and had a great life. He will be missed, but remembered by many. RIP old boy.
