‘Morning all,
I seem to remember from discussions with assorted Forumites previously that there could be quite a few of us in attendance for the Peterborough Chase meeting this weekend.
I don’t think there’s been a TRF raceday gathering of any substance in this part of the world since Towcester a couple of years ago, so this seems as good an oppo as any, I reckon!
Post here or drop us a PM if you’re likely to be around and fancy saying hi to some of the great and good of TRF (and me, but never mind…)

November 21, 2007 at 09:43 #126029I had forgotten about Huntingdon this Saturday.
I quite fancy it actually.
November 21, 2007 at 14:28 #126093Im off to ascot (probably). Pity. Did fancy this meeting too
Was going to suggest a Xmas meet for TRF members. Second day of Kempton (27th) is always a decent days racing, without the scrum of the 26th

Any more takers?

November 23, 2007 at 13:31 #126415Towcester on Sunday for me… 3 mile plodders struggling up the hill in the freezing cold.. thats what its all about!!!!
November 23, 2007 at 14:08 #126420Frost permitting I will be there, they are forecasting minus four tonight and not much sun in the morning to burn it off .
I have to say the field for the Peterborough is very disappointing, only four runners and all with question marks hanging over them. It looks like being a "no bet" meeting.
November 23, 2007 at 14:18 #126421Aye, that’s a point, Paul. Fingers crossed!
Notwithstanding the turnouts (the executive are going to be really disappointed about how the Peterborough field has cut up), I think I’d sooner be at Huntingdon this weekend than seeing what now passes as a chase course at Haydock, or seeing two thirds of naff all from Ascot’s estimable stands.

November 23, 2007 at 14:59 #126427I will be at Huntington and Towcester. Do I win a prize?
November 23, 2007 at 15:15 #126431Would "The Luckiest Man in Wellingborough" award do you?

November 23, 2007 at 16:27 #126443I’m doing Huntingdon and either Aintree or Towcester on Sunday.
Aintree is first choice but it depends how I feel on Sunday morning and if I really fancy the drive to Liverpool and back.
November 23, 2007 at 16:36 #126444Well if you see a young chap with a grey trilby on sunday at Towcester it’ll more than likely be me so say hello.

November 23, 2007 at 16:53 #126446Only three left now – Fair Along is out of the Peterborough.
November 23, 2007 at 19:21 #126469As HJ and GC have been informed, the token ‘Chapette’ of the normal Huntingdon crowd has had to cry off in the name of doing an Honest Day’s Work.
And the same for Sunday!
Shocking really, isn’t it?
Oh well. Have fun y’all.
