April 8, 2025 at 16:16 #1726697While the forum discusses the tragic demise of Celebre D’Allen in this year’s National, I see that one of the National field from 2024, Eklat De Rire, features on another shockingly long list of deceased horses from Ireland this week. I wonder what sad tales this list contains.
RIP to them all
April 8, 2025 at 16:37 #1726701That’s what I complained about a week ago. Now, it’s another 16-17 horse list. I guess, racehorses just die in Ireland. No one ever came up with a plausible explanation why some of them appear on it a year (or even later) after they’ve died.
RIP to all of them
April 8, 2025 at 16:50 #1726705It’s all very dispiriting, isn’t it ERL?
Though at least Ireland is one step ahead of Britain in publishing these lists.
April 8, 2025 at 17:16 #1726711Yes, it is and a lot more depressing than anything that happens at Aintree or Cheltenham. I’m not saying both tracks are perfect, but the changes made plus the treatment and care injured horses receive there is almost like second to none in Europe, I’d say.
