Couldn’t believe the 16’s for Victtorino, wouldn’t have been first choice, but eyes popped out at that price. Went looking for bigger, and it was gone in a flash. Maybe for the best, but this is race where a Venetia horse will always be of interest, and he looks to deserve his place at head of the market
Johnnywho and Beauport look obvious ones for me, while at a big 25’s, I could be interested in Knappers Hill, while A Workinprogress could show his hand this weekend.
If pushed right now, it would be Johnnywho or Knappers Hill
Johnnywho
Knappers HillEdit
This is a really risky one, but taken Knappers Hill just now. I’m not confident at all that he’ll be in the five day Decs, but if he is, then I think he’ll come way down in price.
Betting him off the back of that comeback run at Haydock. Not too far behind The Jukebox Man, and Iroko, and I just thought it was some run after the layoff.
The main negative, other than potential bounce, is that there will surely be plenty of other races for him over the Christmas Period, some of them less competitive than this
Beauport and Johnnywho remain on the shortlist too
Knappers Hill 75
Edit – Not too worried about Knappers not going, as it was just a speculative one, with the real chance he wasn’t going, but still being careful
Interested in Leave of Absence, but I might wait on him for Swinley Chase or Punchestown
Have to take Johnnywho, but it would be painful if I missed Two For Gold, as he’s been a loser for me twice
Johnnywho 6’s
Two For Gold 50’s EW4PlsDecember 15, 2025 at 18:11 #1747636Transmission 18/1 win only
December 18, 2025 at 13:40 #1747883Victtorino ew 4 places. Went with him in this last year and siding with him again now that trainer’s horses are running a bit better.

December 19, 2025 at 23:47 #1748064Will stick with GA Law and young Isabelle Ryder
December 20, 2025 at 08:11 #1748077Ga Law is a very big price. His run in the Charlie Hall was decent enough. Also have to back course specialist Victtorino.
Ga Law 33/1 EW
Victtorino 6/1December 20, 2025 at 09:08 #1748088Deep Cave 15-2.
The more I know the less I understand.
December 20, 2025 at 10:49 #1748101I’ll follow Victtorino off a cliff and with the stable now showing more signs of life I’ll have a good go on him.
December 20, 2025 at 12:09 #1748111I think Victtorino is a ticking timebomb to explode back into form sooner rather than later. He is my selection too.
