I’ve followed Whisper all season and took 25s this morning and backed GMOOH too BUT didn’t do the FC
March 12, 2014 at 15:28 #471215Get in you beauty – Somersby EW at 25s and FC to £2.50
March 12, 2014 at 15:30 #471216Well done Gary with
Whisper
,Fair play to
Sire de Grugy
but again my vioce was hoarse for
Somersby
,he ran a blinder!
March 12, 2014 at 15:37 #471220Cheers, Nico’s 5lb made the difference for sure! I just love Somersby and Hen Knight worth all the hours studying and yet again ante post pays when you know your trainers
March 12, 2014 at 15:43 #471223This fellow will either love it or hate it today but again he’s a horse I’ve always kept an eye on and the ground will suit,he’s also trained by a master of X-Country in Enda Bolger.
Quantitiveasing
£50 e/w 16/1 Bet365.
Loser
March 12, 2014 at 15:54 #471226Well done Gord so far
March 12, 2014 at 18:12 #471243Another break even day thanks to Faugheen and Balthazars but have to say I was deeply frustrated with AP today.
I backed 3 of his – 2 on your advice Gord. Ok so GMOH ran a blinder and came so close but it’s a race AP will surely feel he should have won given how well he travelled. To be fair the winner rallied well but I still think the winning post came too soon for AP’s tactics and the best horse didn’t win.
In that race as well as the other two he rode his horses right in the middle of the pack. I thought Carlingford jumped badly but some of his mistakes were caused by not getting a decent sight of the fence. I was shouting at the TV to get him to move out.
It was even worse on Goodwood Mirage. I feel sure this one would have gone close and had been laid out for the race but once again AP was mid-div and tightly boxed in and didn’t even see that horse fall some way in front of him.
I can understand he wants to get his horses to settle but it is a high risk strategy and it didn’t pay off today.
Still onwards and upwards and I am on AP in the first tomorrow. Let’s hope his luck changes.
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"

I agree the "best horse didn’t win" Joni, but GMOOH is temperamental. Only have to look at his Cheltenham record of 2nds. Once seeing the front pulls himself up. The JP Handicappers disease. "I’ve done what’s usually wanted, what more do you want"? You can see it in GMOOH’s ears pricking close home. If anything AP got there too soon.
Goodwood Mirage can take a strong hold, so the more horses he’s surrounded by the better.
Carlingford Lough has made mistakes before and his chance vastly over-estimated…
All imo.
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2014 at 20:49 #471290Reflections on Day 2. Trying to be a clever B*stard bit me in the A*se today Laying
Faugheen
as had I planned on Laying him in running then having watched the race unfold there really wasn’t a point in it he never looked like losing! Having backed him Ante-Post for the 3 miler at 8/1 and laying him over the shorter distance just proves what a T*at I am at times!
Had the legendaryGet me out of Here
finally got his head in front it would have been one of my most memorable efforts ever as I’ve never lost faith in the horse and it helps to know the Gal that looks after him also looks after
Shutthefrontdoor
felt the same way too!
Carlingford Lough
was my 2nd choice for the RSA but never did I think of him as a Gold cup horse incredibly as like Ginger says he was totally exposed as a Chaser.I did lay
Smad Place
today at Evs in running and very nearly ****** up again,
Sire de Grugy
was never layable in running as he was always travelling and
Somersby
kept tabs right up to the last so my interest was always on him placing.I haven’t even seen the last 2 races today as ‘Lil un’ was getting fed up of me shouting at the Telly so I took her out to a soft play arena for a couple of hours.Onwards and upwards again and I’m enjoying the festival as I do every year.TAPK’s still got a few cards up his sleeve to play!
£400
March 12, 2014 at 23:32 #471376Very brave of you to do this TAPK. Maybe foolish, but brave
Very best of luck for the next two days

"Brave" Mr P?
Whisper it gently, but… If Gord has three threads on the go with different Cheltenham tips in them, he’s bound to get one making a profit.Bloody good winner today Gord.
Well done.
Now get me out of here.Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2014 at 23:51 #471382If he was mine then yes RSA.
I cant find anything for MTOY’s for the Arkle. help????
I phoned Bet365(25/1) and Corals (20/1) got to be the 6/4fav now though mate!
He’s that price for a reason.
Joint favourite in some lists for the 2015 Champion Hurdle, they’d be mad to go down the chase route.Josses Hill probably be Henderson’s Arkle horse. He’s much more of a chasing type than MTOY.
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2014 at 23:54 #471384But this thread is specifically: How To Win 10 Large in 4 Days. So he’s presumably trying to do it on this thread alone and that’s why he’s brave, Ginge. IMO.
OK, he’s got next to no chance, but thought I’d wish him well
March 13, 2014 at 00:33 #471390We all do that Mr P.

‘Luck’ is paramount Mr P,my ‘Wagers’ thread is lucky and this one is unlucky but hey its half time and TAPK loves a challenge.I’ve woke up with a feeling of going through the card today………

Well done.
Now get me out of here.Like anything on here without any proof that real money is going on it is effectively just a headline grabber.
You may as well suggest someone is brave playing a game of monopoly.
March 13, 2014 at 13:27 #471480Here we go again then and it has to be
Taquin de seuil
for me!
Taquin de seuil
£200 win 15/2.
