It seems to happen to me more often these days. I went onto oddschecker, then went onto W Hills and the odds were 12/1 as oddschecker stated. I went to place the bet and it said ‘odds have changed from 12/1 to 15/2′( seemed to be in line with other firms prices)
It’s becoming a re-occuring pain in the arse.
May 15, 2009 at 10:48 #227770Greame .. you should close your online account with any bookie and just stick your cash on at betfair SP.
.. they will endlessly rip you off and then ban you if you win anyway, so why bother?
May 15, 2009 at 13:07 #227801The exchanges don’t offer doubles. And Betfair is the last place i’d go. I can’t see any bookies banning me the way things are at the minute.
May 15, 2009 at 13:17 #227803As far as I know Betfair offer doubles.
May 15, 2009 at 13:21 #227805Since when Rob ? I always thought it was just singles and places with them. Are Betdaq doing doubles aswell ?
May 15, 2009 at 13:26 #227809Betfair do offer multiples at BFSP (up to 8 legs) on all horseracing, Graeme. Their max payout is 1 million. If you have the option to bet with them your wasting your time with a bookmaker imo.
May 15, 2009 at 13:28 #227811Graeme
Betdaq offer the same option.

May 15, 2009 at 13:29 #227812Go to the Betfair racing page Graeme, the link to multiples is on the right hand side towards the top. This is a relatively new product introduced a few months ago.
May 15, 2009 at 13:57 #227815Fantastic – i’ll check both exchanges out later.
Do they do e/w doubles and ante post accumulators ?
May 15, 2009 at 13:59 #227816Since they both have place markets I presume it’s possible to do both win and place doubles.
Rob
May 15, 2009 at 14:05 #227819E/W multiples not available yet but they do plan to introduce them in the future.
If you go to the announcements area of the BF forum and click "Service" you’ll find a Horseracing Multiples Q&A that will answer most of your questions, Graeme.
May 15, 2009 at 14:11 #227822Cheers for the help boys. It might come in handy in the future knowing Betdaq do multiples.
I know alot will have problems with regular bookies, but nobody else offers the options they do right now fo regular punters like me.

All of a sudden they are fighting for my business. I know how you feel

I’ve went into Ladbrokes at 10.30 am albeit a log tome ago and tried to back a horse at 6/1.I got refused and within a minute of that a price change alert was annnounced. Horse was cut to 6/4

To be fair it’s a big country and you can ask for a price that’s there one minute and gone the next.
If Hill’s are going 12’s about something and everyone else is say 8’s or less very few will get on.
They can be slow in changing a price when it’s already gone, which of course gets you on the phone to them. Almost like free advertising.
May 15, 2009 at 15:26 #227843That’s true Fist. I can’t complain really, there are so many options and online bookies that it would be crazy to moan considering that back in the day the coverage was lesser and the number of bookies alot smaller i’d imagine.
Recent loses will be gained in time. I’ve learned my lesson with regards to over hyped 2 y/o. I wish the jumps would hurry up and start.
