There are meetings at Newcastle(x3), Southwell(x2), Sedgefield, Kempton, Huntingdon, Chelmsford Hexham, Wolverhampton, Fakenham and Doncaster during the Cheltenham Festival.

Think of all those value betting opportunities in underanalysed markets, while the eyes of the racing world are elsewhere.

Think of the plots that might pass unnoticed under the radar!

You’ve got to think outside the box in this game.

Peaky Blinders wannabe Fez racegoer in his finest designer winter garb: “Nah, bollocks to all that, boss/bruv/geez/delete as applicable – let’s get all those odds-on bankers in the old Fez acca!”

Miserable old sod sitting at home in his pants covered in Hob Nob crumbs “Cor look at this class 6 donkey running on the sand at Wolverhampton, I can thieve a miniscule profit from my 50p filthy e/w single” ;-)

    And your point is, sir?

    Sounds perfectly reasonable to me!

Except for the attire – Chezza always dresses smartly for the races, even though he’s not going!

I always enjoy a bet at the Sedgefield, Hexham and Fakenham meetings in Cheltenham week. The latter two were profitable last year. And now that Fakenham has moved to RTV, I will not even have to go to the trouble of changing channels!

Hughes and Mcain will no doubt have a couple of plot jobs lined up for sedgfield during the week!

But there’s enough dross for the other 51 weeks of the year. The week of the festival I don’t have the energy to look elsewhere. I tend to start looking at the next days card in the early evening so frankly don’t have the time to cast even a cursory glance at the other meetings.

There’s better opportunities to find an unexposed one in the 20 runner handicaps of good horses than there is of a 5 runner mares maiden at catterick!
