Good morning vietnam…
so after no success in looking around for what im after i ask my fellow experts..
ive been looking for a book that shows horses in trainings names and origins, if there is such a book..

was hoping that someone published such a book or maybe when registering a horse the owner says why the horse was called such..?
June 19, 2011 at 12:01 #361560I don’t think there is such a book and the reasons for naming a horse are many and varied, quite often linked to their breeding.
You can get some very clever names that way, my favourite one at the moment is May Be Some Time, by Iceman out of Let Alone – very clever naming.
I’m not over keen on horses named just to advertise like the Pertemps xxxxxxxxx and Bathwick xxxxxxx ones but, I suppose I can see why the owners do it.
