Although not his biggest fan it has to be Kauto,although if he’d been on there I would have given it to Rowe Park whose rate of improvement this year has been absoultely extraordinary.
Kauto Star is in a different parish from the rest, in terms of his achievements last season.
If Dylan Thomas wins in Hong Kong after running on that bog track in the USA and then arriving in Japan only to have to fight to get out after they wouldn’t let him race, I think he deserves it. He’s had a tough season.

Is Kauto Star still head and shoulders above the rest if you can’t include the King George and Betfaor Chase from last season? Both of course happened in 2006!
