I have a challenge…..
My dog has just had a litter of pedigree pups and they need names suitable for registering with the Kennel Club.I was originally going to go with race horse names and then someone suggested going with my initials – G.M. Then I thought hang on a minute I wonder if I could do both, race horse names with G M.
Trouble is she had 10 puppies!! (plus I need reserve names)….. So far I have:
Golden Miller
Great Mates
Gold MedallistDoes anyone have any others please!! It would be amazing if I could do this!!

June 15, 2010 at 09:33 #300696Don’t know if he’s had enough runs in any discipline yet to command a rating, hence the omission, but Jim Lewis’s latest project, GREAT MATES, would also fit the bill.

June 16, 2010 at 18:31 #301231Grey Mirage – group animal of Bill Marshall’s (I think) some years ago. Of course if the puppies aren’t grey, it might be unsuitable.

October 29, 2012 at 07:25 #22933Hi,
I have another challenge – you all helped so much last time…..
My dog has just had another litter of pedigree pups and they need names suitable for registering with the Kennel Club. Following on from the theme of 2 years ago I would like to name them after racehorses with the same initials as me…My initials have changed now as I got married earlier in the year – therefore I am looking for racehorses with the initials GR
I think this is harder than the one before but we shall see…. over to you guys.
ThanksOctober 29, 2012 at 08:55 #418611Perhaps not exactly what you are looking for. I went to the Racing Post website and looked for horses there. Tried three searches Great R, Giant R, Grey R. This brought up several horses, although none of which I immediately recognized, but may be a theme worth per suing.

– Nicky Henderson’s talented but ill-fated two mile chaser of a few years ago, Ascot specialist
Galileo Rock
– talented juvenile this year for David Wachman
Grey Report
– VERY quirky front-running hurdler, placed at the Cheltenham Festival, became reluctant with age
Do let us know which names you give to your pups!
