Whatever happened to Hoof It? The horse ran a superb race and looked really good when an unlucky third to Dream Ahead at Haydock and ran poorly twice since.
Are we going to see it race again?
January 14, 2013 at 18:54 #426301After Mick Easterby enjoyed watching Shadows Lengthen win at Sedgefield last week, he was interviewed on Atr and said he thought Hoof It would return better than ever this year. Sounded like hes had a small operation (wind?)but Mick seemed revved up about him. Mind you, he looked in especially good form. Both still alive and kicking.
January 14, 2013 at 23:05 #426330Great news thanks for the reply, backed him his last 3 races but I still have faith in the horse, you could tell that something was amiss on its last 2 outings and I really look forward to backing it again whenever it next races as that turn of foot 2 furlongs out at Haydock was superb.
Hopefully he will have fairly generous odds.
January 16, 2013 at 21:20 #426577A big prize in him this season if they can work out his optimum conditions. He doesnt stay 7 furlongs , isnt at his best on soft ground and isnt quite quick enough over 5f.
January 16, 2013 at 21:28 #426579Even by Racings standards, guessing if Hoof It is actually trying to win is a lottery.

Haha very true, I’ve heard way too many excuses made for him.
Hoof It has been entered for the Duke of York Stakes on 15th May for those interested.
April 16, 2013 at 11:54 #436409There were times last year when Mick Easterby was in crap form. So hopefully that had something to do with Hoof It’s poor form.
Be great if top sprinters Hoof It and Deacon Blues come back to form.
Value Is EverythingApril 16, 2013 at 12:34 #436417Hoof It has been running like Lee Westwood has been putting !!!

He’s finally back!!!
Stupidly or not, I’m going to have to have a cheeky punt on him today.

He looks a horse whose best days are behind him and he couldn’t pass Borderlescott today.
A bit of a shame, as his win off ten stone in the Stewards Cup was amazingly effortless really and he looked special that day. That bought me a lot of trinkets and firewater that day!
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 13, 2013 at 17:33 #445612Backed him today, so was watching closely.
Tend to agree with sandwith, think 6f may be his best trip. Never really looked like winning today perhaps a bigger field may help him to.
May just have fell out of love with the game, wouldn’t be the first horse.
