October 2, 2012 at 16:43 #414950The poor boy got up and ran on for a few strides before stopping. It didn’t look good for him. RIP lad
October 2, 2012 at 17:58 #414959Are you kidding me? What is the horse doing over hurdles????
Changed hands and jockeys like daily underwear! Not bred for the job, but maybe worth the risk. This is getting too ridiculous and it hurts too match if you follow it regularly. And it ran about a furlong or so with a badly damaged leg. Unnecessary pain with no good purpose behind it.October 5, 2012 at 07:34 #415232Same as RubyLight I was surpirsed to see Hong Kong Island go hurdling.
RIP
October 5, 2012 at 21:09 #415354another lovely horse loses its life. RIP
October 5, 2012 at 21:22 #415357A beautiful horse I saw him at Newmarket last time he ran and he stood out in the paddock. As said by others, he should never have gone hurdling, how much training had he had before they let him loose over the sticks. Surely the BHA should have rules in place regarding novice juveniles over hurdles and this horse was no way ready for this. A terrible shame that a beautiful horse has lost his life.
RIP…you lovely lovely boy, such a sad day I can’t believe this has happened.
