At first I thought Cooldine was too short and went along with the ‘ring rusty’ and using this as a preparation for the Gold Cup line.
But, on reflection, since he would probably have to un to about 183 to win at Cheltenham (he is not capable of that) this must surely be ‘the plan
‘ and I am now convinced he is decent value at 9/4, against this field.
February 6, 2010 at 21:37 #274538Joncol is fast becoming one of my favourites and I hope he lands the spoils tomorrow.
What a terrific looking animal.
February 6, 2010 at 21:50 #274545Actually think it could be Notre Pere’s turn tomorrow

Tomorrow’s race is over 3 miles, not 5 miles.
February 6, 2010 at 23:33 #274571Money Trix will be there again, and is somewhat being overlooked, heavy ground and probably the only horse primed mainly for this makes him a great bet for me.

That’s funny, I thought Notre Pere finished 2nd to Neptune Collonges in this last year.

He hets slower with every run. He’ll need 5m4f after tomorrow’s race
February 6, 2010 at 23:53 #274576That’s some theory you have there, good lad.

The ground and the pace haven’t given Notre Pere anything like the test he needs so far this season and, if it’s genuinely heavy, he’ll serve it up to them from some way out and surely prove too good for this bunch.
February 7, 2010 at 15:32 #274688W P Mullins is try to kid himself on. I can tell he knows that Cooldine can win this, and he does know about the gamble he says he knows nothing about. Shades of Ferdy Murphy. Going by that interview full of bull sh*t, he has to have a massive chance. All this rubbish about needing another run is wearing thin, and he’s being fly with his words, so he can turn round and say he never knew he was that far along when he does win.
February 7, 2010 at 15:37 #274689Come on Joncol,improving all the time,soft ground to suit, 3m? shouldn"t pose a problem! 2/1 will do for me!
February 7, 2010 at 15:37 #274690Cooldine’s price would surely have held up, if the stable were laying him out?
February 7, 2010 at 15:42 #274692Nah, they took the price, then said he needs the run. They got the 4’s, 7/2s and 3/s. They couldn’t care less. They would back it when it drifts if there was enough liquidity.
February 7, 2010 at 15:48 #274694I really want Money Trix to win.
February 7, 2010 at 15:55 #274695Great race to watch, Joncol just getting up from Cooldine who made a gutsy front running bid, Schindler’s Hunt ran a blinder considering this wanst ideal for him looked at one point he may would have won.
Money Trix was very disappointing a bad mistake put paid to his chances.
