Sound. When they put up the big cash prize for the Jockeys’ Cup I did a massive eyeroll (and I think I whinged about it on here) thinking only about 3 of them can possibly win it and they’re all ones that are earning stacks of riding fees and race prize money anyway.
This is a really good idea and it sounds like he’s generous with his time as well the cash. Good man Harry. Glad he was the winner!February 22, 2026 at 18:50 #1755938Yes good on him.
The more I know the less I understand.
February 22, 2026 at 19:30 #1755943I think that’s a great thing. Well done Harry and it would be nice to see more RP articles about the next generation of riders rather than who selected what in which race. It should be a paper more about the sport than just the betting. The online version of the Paris Turf is completely different as it offers more articles about everything the equine world has to offer. Surely, you won’t find five or six different articles on the same night about one horse running on the A.W….
By the way, where can I find more information about pony racing and what the next generation of riders is all about? Hopefully not behind a paywall.
February 22, 2026 at 19:31 #1755944Lovely positive story for racing , I’ve said it elsewhere but he’s the most improved jockey on the circuit , he was horrific at Cheltenham now I doubt anyone rides it better
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 24, 2026 at 01:58 #1756059Fair play to him for taking this route with the money he won – many might have viewed the initial idea behind the Jockey’s Cup as a gimmicky PR stunt but Harry has played a blinder with this idea and has potentially set a precedent that all future winners (assuming that the initiative continues on) will find hard to follow………its a high bar indeed that he has set with this move and putting something in place that could make a big difference and be long lasting.
