Poor Harry Handsome .. another Sedgefield botch up, poor horse terribly injured at the third and still stricken in front of the next fence when the field nearly ran into him on the second circuit, a couple of blokes rushing to put chevrons on top of the fence and another waving the flag from the side of the jump; just one person at the scene trying to hold on to Harry who was rearing up and so distressed by the field of runners passing him at close quaters … no screens and prob still waiting for a vet.
Sedgefield despite all the complaints they get still not up to speed with welfare.I was there it was a disgrace….no one caught the horse it went several hundred yards before attempts to catch it……
How desperately sad, no horse should have to suffer like that..shame on Sedgefield races.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...Asolute disgrace – NO horse should be allowed to suffer like that – and that place should be used to having to respond to such scenarios – they seem to have had far too much practice with their sad record. Poor Harry RIP.

Shame on you Sedgefield. Like someone said, you have more than your fair share of injuries so should be more experienced at dealing with them. Disgraceful.
