Just been reported on ITV that he broke down on the flat in the second race of the day, the Arkle.
RIP.
March 10, 2026 at 14:34 #1758016Yes, saw him stumble coming into the final bend and thought that’s what had happened. RIP.
March 10, 2026 at 14:34 #1758017Ah, what a shame. A sickener at the start of the festival.
March 10, 2026 at 14:35 #1758019What happened to him? He was well in contention and staying on for fourth. As the first three entered the straight I saw him go very wide at that turn, but I didn’t expect an injury. Such a shame, especially for the Moore stable that had it’s share of injuries in the past.
RIP Hansard

RIP Hansard 🌹Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 10, 2026 at 19:37 #1758210Such a shame – running a good race and had completed in all his previous 20 races … poor lad … much sympathy to his connections.
