It’s too hard to call so I’ll have an each way on Bothy, he’s had a couple of runs on the flat recently so will be fresh and his only loss over hurdles was too Sanctuaire at Cheltenham, but he’s 22lbs better off today.
Happy I took the 40/1 yesterday, so close to a big win. Well done to Menorah backers, there must of been a few, he seemed an obvious choice.
Took your advice Bigphil – got 40s e/w with Bet365 this lunchtime – thought i was on for a big win after he came back at Menorah going up the hill.
But hats off to Menorah, as i thought GMOH should’ve beat him in the Supreme Novices in March.
Top weight on that ground today, shows he’s a very versatile horse – must be in with a big shout in the Champion Hurdle.I agree, great run off top weight. I thought GMOH would have won the Supreme if they hadn’t moved the final hurdle but he’s been beaten today off a lower weight. His bad run last time out doesn’t look as suspect now. I like that Stan James deal, if Binocular wins you get your money back on your losing selection.
November 14, 2010 at 16:22 #327964Well done Supersilver!
Thank you JJMSports, pleased as punch. Always such a great pleasure taking bundles off the enemy. Well done to the BigPhil on the 2nd at a big price…
Happy days.

Anyone who backs Menorah for the Champion Hurdle doesn’t deserve their money back

Delighted with the result and it’s only my opinion but to beat the main CH contenders he’ll need to do a lot more than beat Bothy in workmanlike fashion.
Don’t forget both GMOOH and General Miller have run way below form so it’s not turned out to be as good a race as last year and Khyber Kim was IMO a lot more impressive in beating Harry Ticker and Medermit than Menorah was today.

God bless your foresight, you must have the ability to see far far into the future, surely you should judge the form of the race after a few of the beaten horses run again. I still can’t believe you can’t see how much Menorah idles when he hits the front, nothing workmanlike about his win IMO, and he is improving all the time.

November 14, 2010 at 23:45 #328014Well done if you backed Menorah or Bothy or bothy (geddit!).
I thought that was a really decent performance from Menorah – winning that race with top weight makes him graded class certainly – and in my book grade 1.
Unless the form turns out to be shocking he’ll be there at the business end of the Champion.
He looks like he can fight a bit at the end as well as travel and quicken at pace.
Difficult to know what will happen with Binny, so I’m deffo open to alternatives for the big one.
