Gregory has looked an out and out stayer

Has a 3lb penalty here and drops back in trip

Haven’t seen a market but think he could be opposable

Rubbish isn’t it? Same Juddmonte International comments apply. £140,000+ on offer but very few interested.

On my card I have Gregory clear fav on ratings for the 1500 Great Voltigeur

However there is a very interesting negative for it in my trial race stats , see below

He seemed to relish the 1m6f at ascot and has a 3lb penalty

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if he gets beat tomorrow

Only problem is I don’t like any of the others enough to have a bet against him

I’m backing Artistic Star EW at 16/1, but only for this drop back in trip. He’d only have to find about 2-3 lengths with Continuous on their Ascot running over 1m4f.

Gregory has done well there considering the going, missed the kick, drop in trip.
Of the 3 that went off too fast the other two fell out the back whereas Gregory did finish his race
Continuous had it easy as Ryan just had to race the clock to a degree. Not sure I would read too much into that race when looking into the St Leger

The quicker horse beat the stayers. Not a huge surprise really.

Ah mike come on, if you extended that by 2f further hes half the track behind, hes absolutely no chance in the st leger, the winner there will hammer him should they meet again

Ham.. Continuous was tailed off early
The pace has exaggerated the distance but I agree the O’Brien horse will beat him over the extended too. Always had Gregory down as overrated to date but today wasn’t his fault he did well to finish where he did. I’d have loads ahead of him for the Leger.
