September 19, 2006 at 17:44 #77417kutz,
First, what price did you get and second, what convinces you it is nailed on and that it is definitely aimed at the Gold Cup?
The jumps are not my speciality, but you seem unusually confident, or is it just bluster?
September 19, 2006 at 17:49 #77418I couldn’t have this beast at all until he shows he can mix it this season without the benefit of his rather generous 5-y-o allowance.
September 19, 2006 at 17:52 #77419I’m on it 50/1 thank you. The value lies with other horses now Trabolgan and Monet’s Garden to name two.

I think Monets could turn out be terrific. Trabolgan I think is overated but perhaps he can improve aswell.
September 19, 2006 at 19:52 #77421I hope you get a nice little trade off on it kutz ;)
September 19, 2006 at 21:25 #77422Trabolgan for me.
doesnt he just somehow look the part?
in the right hands of course and bags of improvement to come …i would imagine.
September 19, 2006 at 21:29 #77423Beef or Salmon for me!
Seriously though, how anybody can say that SdeM is nailed on against the likes of KK, WoA, and Trabolgan is beyond me.
September 19, 2006 at 21:33 #77424Yeah agreed, ridiculous. Previous season novices simply need more time to make it. I think he’d have a great chance as a 7yo, but this season, no chance. Trabolgan for me – I think KK will win the Punchestown GC though. He’ll just need more time to get back to his best.
September 19, 2006 at 21:44 #77425i thought trabolgans injury was pretty light though grass and he could have run again last season ? Didnt they just play it safe?
September 20, 2006 at 08:57 #77426Kutz, Darkness is surely a national horse if it learns how to jump, or at least an out and out stayer and the Listener for me never had the pace to win a grade 1 chase.. Not a great RSA for me.. I think you’ve done your money.. More likely to win the ryanair than the gold cup
September 20, 2006 at 12:20 #77427Huge Trabolgan fan, though as Grassy says have to see how they come back. Azerty never made it back :-(.

January 13, 2007 at 21:27 #692Eurotrek @ 66/1 IF he runs is huge value imo.
January 13, 2007 at 22:05 #35784Possibly Our Vic at 12/1, no way he should be 4 points bigger than In Compliance, though it’s more a case of In Compliance being too short I think. I don;t think there’s a bet to be had on the Gold Cup.
January 13, 2007 at 22:35 #35785He’s an unlikely runner yes.
If he runs what price will he be? 14/1?
What is his chance of running? 33%?
Current Price 66/1
You could argue its marginal value but i’ll wait for NRNB (although VCBet give 50% of stake back if its a NR)
January 14, 2007 at 12:39 #35786Forget the Past it’s more a question of do you think In Compliance will stay 3m? If he does then FTP won’t go in the Gold Cup and if he doesn’t connections think that In Compliance is some way better than FTP so what would his chance of winning be?
March 3, 2007 at 13:34 #956War of Attrition, Heat in a leg apparently. Scared off allegedly.
