Well the Grand National entries are due out and I started to think how almost every year it throws up its quirks. Some things that often happen.
1: A horse will be entered on the owners behalf even though the owner hates the race and never allows them to run.
2: A horse will be entered we’d all forgotten about and hasn’t run for three years.
3: A horse will be entered even though it is quite clearly not qualified.
4: A horse will be entered now under the care of a pointing trainer that will need to be switched back to a licensed trainer.
5: A horse will be entered that although useful has been switched to hurdling for the last two years.
6: A favourite horse is entered that you are convinced hasn’t passed the placed over three miles rule but then breathe a sigh of relief when you discover it finished tailed off last of three at Listowel five years ago.
Anyway I’m sure you can add a few of you’re own !!
