Everybody welcome to compete
No prize as yet unless anybody is willing to sponsor but your name on the hall of fame / roll of honour Goodwood Lord of the Manor for the year is worthy enough.
To make selections I will put up threads in the competition section of the forum nearer the time
Dates
1st – 5th August
Rules
Pick one horse per race for every race of Glorious Goodwood, selections can be made in the individual race day threads, I will post these later.
One Nap per day. Nap selections score double points for WIN ONLY Naps that finish 2nd, 3rd or in 16 or more runner races 4th will score as normal.
Pick one NB (next best) each day this will count as your nap if your nap is a non runner, if you fail to pick a NB your nap will be the reserve in the race of your non runner nap. If no NB or reserve in the race of non running nap no Nap selection will be nominated.
Reserves – pick as many as you like but before the off of the first race as (read below)
PLEASE NOTE, I’M SORRY BUT NO ENTRY OR ALTERATION TO YOUR ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED IF POSTED AFTER THE OFF TIME OF THE FIRST RACE OF EACH DAY*

The winner will be the competitor with the highest score of the combined 5 days. if tied highest day 1 score if still tied day 2 etc.
SCORING
In all races of up to 4 runners – only the winner scores
In all races of 5, 6 or 7 runners – the first two score
In all races of 8 to 15 runners – the first three score
In all races of 16 to 21 runners – the first four score
In all races of 22 or more runners – the first five scorePOINTS SCORING (SP’s)
1/2 or shorter – 1st: 2 pts – 2nd: 1 pt – 3rd: 1 pt – 4th: 0 pts
8/15 to 10/11 – 1st: 4 pts – 2nd: 2 pts – 3rd: 1 pt – 4th: 1 pt
Evens to 2/1 – 1st: 8 pts – 2nd: 4 pts – 3rd: 3 pts – 4th: 2 pt
9/4 to 4/1 – 1st: 14 pts – 2nd: 6 pts – 3rd: 4 pts – 4th: 3 pts – 5th: 1 pt
9/2 to 15/2 – 1st: 17 pts – 2nd: 8 pts – 3rd: 6 pts – 4th: 4 pts – 5th: 2 pts
8/1 to 11/1- 1st: 22 pts – 2nd: 10 pts – 3rd: 8 pts – 4th: 6 pts – 5th: 3 pts
12/1 to 20/1- 1st: 27 pts – 2nd: 14 pts – 3rd: 10 pts – 4th: 8 pts – 5th: 4 pts
21/1 to 25/1 – 1st: 32 pts – 2nd: 16 pts – 3rd: 12 pts – 4th: 10 pts – 5th: 5 pts

I’m going to be away in Northern Ireland from 2nd-5th August for my Anniversary we are doing the The Game of Thrones location Tour and taking in The Giant’s Causeway and the Rope Bridge, but I’ll be keeping an eye on the action at Goodwood and hoping to post up some choices in your compy.I’ll post my Saturday What 3 Horses comp up on Tuesday 1st and I should be able to mark it up on the Sunday when we are home as you will be busy with your Goodwood comp.
Hoping to get my choices in ok from my mobile, the signal should be fine in Belfast, I hope. If not I’ll email them to you.

I’m so sorry I can’t help out this time Nathan and I’m sure everyone will be more than patient to wait for the updates and hopefully the highlighting/dragging problem can be resolved by Cormack.
Perhaps Raymo will step up to the plate with the offer of help and unlimited cakes to help you through.
During our time away also visiting the Titanic Museum at the Harland & Wolff site at Belfast’s dockyard which will be very interesting if a little sad.
Doubt I will get anywhere near top possy as my picks are going to have to rely on my lucky pin being extra sharp, but lots of good horses turning out and I’ll keep Paddy Power close wherever I go in Ireland.

Thanks Raymo, I’m working all week so if you could get the results of the races done with points scored for each horse and note any non runners that would be great.

Hi Nathan, my nap today was Churchill who didn’t run so my NB Billesdon Bess became my nap thanks.
Jac- hope you’re enjoying Norn Iron, sorry we couldn’t arrange better weather for you. If you go to the Bushmills distillery tour, get up the front coming out of the bottling plant and look thirsty and hopeful- the time I went they whisked the first 2 volunteers off for a free tasting session
