darren,I just cant see
The Fugue
as a 1000gns type at all,Oaks defineately!
Elusive Kate
on the other hand ticks the 1000gns boxes but she isn’t on my shortlist.Johnny G never seems to rush his horses and thats why I never back one of his for the Guineas.Nothing else from his yard appeals to me for either races neither.I like
Wading
a lot,I hope she erases my luck with
Memory
from last year!
April 6, 2012 at 21:31 #399536For em the 1000 Guineas is all about Maybe. I think she was as good a 2yo as we saw in Ireland last year and the best 2yo in O’Brien’s yard, possibly Camelot aside. If she’s 7/2 on the day I’ll be Wading in
April 7, 2012 at 17:24 #399631Got the feeling THE FUGUE will go for the pretty polly race in Ireland
Any thoughts on this FLEMENSTAR i think with cut in the ground he is the best novice chaser around.A top horse he is but needs it heavy i think he does.

Nah darren I reckon she will go for the Musidora then Epsom mate! I have No thoughts on this ‘Flemenstar’ at the moment as apart from Punchestown i cant see a target for what looks to me like a horse who like you say needs to get his toe in big time!
April 7, 2012 at 17:46 #399635I’ve said it for a while now but if ever there was a horse who looks tailor made for a Grand National its
Weird al
,I know he’s probably the lightest raced horse ever to run in the race,(11 runs to date)and its certainly a year earlier than I expected but fair play to Donald Mcain for committing him now.I’ve had a daft tenner on at 240’s on the machine, could easily have been 320’s but I left it!
Gives me another interest in the race along withCalgary Bay
50/1,
Sunnyhill Boy
40/1 and of course
Junior
at 20/1,looks like I’ve lost on
Burton Port
but I’m happy with my 4 for the race,Cant wait!
April 7, 2012 at 18:54 #399637KF, a friend of mine had a terrific day punting today, backing 8 winners in a row.
They did Cambridge in the Boat Race!
April 7, 2012 at 20:46 #399642Who was that Eclipse?.. Gingertipster!
Ginge would have backed every rower in the Cambridge boat with a saver on the Cox!

April 8, 2012 at 16:59 #399713Will do Nath! Ginge the Nationals a one off,I love the race and its a bit of an anti climax if you dont have at least one horse jumping the last with a chance!
April 8, 2012 at 18:46 #399718Gord i think WESTERN CHARMER can go one place better and win tomorrow.
And do you think GMOOH will win tomorrow i like OSCARS WELL myself
DON COSSACK to win the bumper too.

I certainly think
Get me out of Here
is better than a handicapper darren but I do believe
Oscars Well
is a Grade 1 horse…………in a Grade 2! No bet for me,I’ll cheer my horse on though!

Clocks tickin to the Big One!Nerves are something TAPK doesn’t suffer from………………..This years different! Good Luck ‘Claire n Calg’! Dominic needs to ride him like he did at Doncaster on that memorable day in January,Terry needs a box of Mansize,I’ll need a couple myself if he can carry 11-6 to victory.Hen and The Radfords will keep a lid on things,Fingers Crossed n that!
April 9, 2012 at 11:20 #399778Calgary Bay’s chance is small and will get smaller with every spot of rain at Liverpool. Big brute, one of the best looking horses in training. Races off a mark 12 lbs higher than two starts ago (both handicap wins) raised 6 lbs each time. Jumped well last time out, giving 7 lbs and a 2½ length beating to Shakalakaboomboom, and only 1 lb worse off here.
Failed
to run to form
all 5
attempts at further than 3 miles
. Too free in 2010 Gold Cup (3m2½f). Fell at 4th only start beyond that distance in Grand National last year. Sire Taipan not noted for producing stayers. Calgary Bay seems highly unlikely to be suited by the trip. Raced
mainly on good to soft or good
. Seems to find more off the bridle than he used to.
Calgary Bay has done well for you this season Gord. Seems as though you’re determined to follow him over a cliff.Value Is Everything - AuthorPosts
