I’m not a huge golf fan, but love having a bet in the Majors (especially The Masters).
This years pokes:
Justin Leonard – 100/1
Charles Howell – 125/1
Olazabel – 100/1
Any one else having a go?
April 7, 2004 at 19:14 #88855I’ll have a small interest
Paddy Harrington 20/1
Kenny Perry 50/1
Don’t usually back in golf cause it is so hard but had a decent bet on Harrington to be top european in the players champ.
I reckon he might win a major this year. You can pretty much back him e/w all year he got a bad case of seconditus but he pays his way.
also have a sneaky suspicion for N.Price at 100/1
April 7, 2004 at 21:41 #88856hi
i like a little bet on golf every week
my main bet is p harrington to be top european and to win outright,
he has come second the last two weeks in the usa so not a bad couple of weeks
i have also done v singh to be top rest of the world player and doubled it with harrington
for a good outsider peter lonard is worth a couple of pounds e/w for interest
good luck to you all;)
April 8, 2004 at 08:39 #88857I will have small each ways on the following 3.
Shigeki Muruyama 80/1
Jerry Kelly 80/1
Retief Goosen 28/1

April 8, 2004 at 11:41 #88858
I’ve joined in on Harrington.
Would love to seem him do well & don’t want him winning un-backed!
April 11, 2004 at 22:41 #88859In my opinion this years masters was one of the best I’ve ever witnessed as a pure quality of golf as there were some truly great shots played under extreme pressures.
My favorite will always be Faldo grinding down Normal as his bottle went but this one for sheer class wins hands down and I backed Els!
April 11, 2004 at 23:05 #88860I totally agree with that. ÂÂÂ
Its not very often you get 2 holes in one within half an hour of each other.
Also great to see Phil Mickelson win his 1st major, and he did it with a smile on his face most of the way round. Pure class.
April 13, 2004 at 10:09 #88861Not financially a great result, but it was a fantastic tournament and Mickleson deserved it.
Snooker next!
