Well done Rob for winning one of the trickiest Goodwood competitions I can ever remember.
Great tipping also by all who managed to score over 200 points and get so close to the winner, especially
Andre (Euro) who sailed away with such a strong lead on the first day only to end up battling against
the wind with his predators attacking from every angle for the 4 days that followed. To finish up just
7 points behind the winner was a great achievement and also Michael Walsh, Tonge and Botchy just a hairsbreadth
away from being crowned King/Queen of Goodwood. Leaves you wondering who would have won if the Meeting
had not been abandoned.
Many thanks to the Raymos for a really enjoyable competition and to Raymo for winning the cakes, but don’t
worry Mrs Raymo is coming round mine to help me finish off my Anniversary cupcakes, must say they were
the best ever.
Look forward to York and some sunshine to cheer us all up. Jac

So so sorry. I do pride myself on my accuracy and I am gutted I made not one or two but three mistakes this week!!
Typical to miss yours Jac when you needed all the pints you could get .Sorry RbNorth no cakes for overall winners the cakes comp is a in house thing

Mrsraymo has corrected the final leaderboard
August 5, 2023 at 21:58 #1658814Jac – mmmm that sounds like a lovely idea; wish we lived nearer!
By the way, was that a freudian slip from Raymo suggesting you needed all the pints you could get LOL!!
Well done RobNorth on your well-deserved win. You can rest assured that, the day they invent some sort of teleporter, we will willingly share our house competition cakes with you! Unfortunately, the current alternative is our wonderful mail service which would mean that you would probably end up receiving a mouldy load of crumbs!!
August 5, 2023 at 22:04 #1658816Well done Rob and thanks to the Raymos for organising. Who knows what would have happened if the meeting hadn’t been abandoned. Likely I would have finished further down the table so it’s an ill wind…!
Roll on York.
August 5, 2023 at 22:04 #1658817Lol Mrs R 😅🤣 I could certainly use a few pints after this week Raymo.

Thanks for adjusting my score and see I’m in good comoany with Nathan whose had a similar Goodwood to myself..
we’re off to have a few pints together. Jac

Many thanks to the Raymos for organising the comp, it’s a tough job and you both did it like clockwork. Well done all!
