    Encouraging all five horses today have been well backed (even allowing for non-runners). Although am a little concerned about the tail wind. If either race is slowly run might save on the leader in-running.

    Am quite keen on Gosden’s Foundation myself Colin. Even allowing for his antics at the start comes out just about favourite in my book. And yet with bookies it’s 6/4 Foundation compared to 5/4 Deauville at the moment. Trouble is don’t like taking a short price on one with a tendencey to miss the break quite badly. So might take a chance on the price shortening and hopefully do an in-running bet. Waiting until they’ve gone 50 yards.

    Can’t really see JG’s Shalaa getting beaten, but rules are rules and I never take long odds-on. Probably wait for the betting-without market. Paddy Power are up now with prices, but in a 129% :wacko: book there’s no value. Hopefully be a different story in the morning.

    Well, we all know with Foundation Mark, that if he does fail, Harry Herbert`s book of excuses will be in use again! As you say Shalaa should win comfortably, but yeah, odds certainly reflect that.
    Hes sent Gregs favourite jockey, Rab, up to Haydock for some interesting rides plus a newcomer for Hamdam with Dane ONeill aboard, and with the form Gosdens in, wouldn`t put it past any of them.Ooh nice shade of red but i have no idea why!!

    With only Paddy Power betting on this market last night they were betting to 129%. Now the best price percentage is fractionally over-broke.
