As it’s a long time since I’ve put up an update thought I’d do a longer summary. Illustrates what can happen when striking a losing run. Starting with Novancia (17th July) and ending with The Corsican at Goodwood (31st July) had 12 runners-up in 17 races, losing 1272 points. Since then a recovery.

Had a couple of quid matched at 189/1 Arabian Queen on betfair overnight (160.64/1 with reduction factor)
My second 100/1+ winner. Beats Aurora’s Encore 119/1, but had more on that one.

Had a look at the Lowther. Lumiere looks plenty short enough. Besharah (Haggas) comes out better on stable form than Mark Johnston (Lumiere) or Dodds (Easton Angel). But prefer the form of latter two. And then there’s Ashadihan (good run at Ascot) and Quiet Reflection (5 lengths Hamilton winner on debut and stable in good form)… Unless I see a price that absolutely stands out Lowther is filed in the too difficult column.
