My run continues.
Two main bets finishing second and third to the second’s stable companion. Winner held up last in a possibly overly strongly run race. Secret Gesture doing by far the best of those ridden prominently. The Lark having to wait for a run and the winner coming wide and late. It may or may not have made a difference. You are not alone Ginger
25/1 Secret Gesture 2nd
25/1 Just The Judge non-runnerI have Ruler Of The World 25/1 and Galileo Rock 66/1 e/w tomorrow.
I’ve had seventeen 2nds in the last month, including five on the trot two Saturdays ago. Think I’ll take up gardening!!
Ouch! If anything Steve, that’s worse than my second and third. Ante-post racing is a xxx sometimes, I came close to backing Just The Judge for Epsom myself immediately after Newmarket. Listening to the winning trainer after the Oaks, it seems he’s in no doubt who’s the better filly at home Steve. Wonder how they’d bet for the Irish Guineas if Secret Gesture and Talent met there?
Seconditus is a terrible disease, I suppose backing Dunaden I’ll probably have another one in the Corry Cup. At least will get back most of my money if it does. (Watch it finish third now).
Actually it is a fantastic race to bet each way! With the five runners including two rank outsiders it’s virtually paying out on two places in a three runner race.

Keeping a record of a "tipping thread" may not be a good idea after all, as there are some bets not included and although most are the same, some are with different bookmakers and/or different prices than my own bets.
I’ll continue for a little while longer, but it may not be practical to keep two records.

I do like Simenon at the prices too, but will wait until he’s confirmed for this race (he won a handicap and Queen Alex at the meeting last year). Mount Athos is not sure to take part.

Simenon seems to be being backed and betfair price is no bigger than bookmakers which suggests he’ll be going for this race.
