Well since the only operation that will buy the George Washington filly is Coolmore i can’t see it going for a huge amount.
Its a filly after all….400,000k or less would be fair. Anything more is pricey
October 4, 2009 at 21:30 #251806Well she made 280,000 Euros at Goffs last November. From the pictures I’ve seen she has done well and I’m sure the pin-hookers know what they are doing. Even in this market I’d expect about 350,000 Guineas.
October 5, 2009 at 00:00 #251845Lets hope she is not as bonkers as George and Grandera her sire and uncle or her handlers will have fun with her at the sales.
October 7, 2009 at 23:52 #12848George Washington’s sole progeny, a yearling out of the mare Flawlessly(Fr), has been sold at auction for 320,000gns and is reputed to be going into training with Richard Hannon.
Just in case they are struggling for a name I thought it’d be a bit of fun to try to come up with something suitable.
Keep them clean.

October 8, 2009 at 01:01 #252356When I read the opening post and saw that her dam was called ‘Flawlessly’, my first thought was "that’s ironic, I’d try to play on that".
However, reading down I discovered that Drone had already expressed similar sentiments so much more succinctly than I ever could:Flawed
That’s the winner for me.
