Okay I’m trialing this on here so there is no get out clause if it doesn’t work. I’m looking for one race with a weak favourite that is short in the market and can be opposed with other runner(s) (+ a couple of other factors). Staking ranges from 1pt-3pts.
March 24, 2006 at 20:03 #61363The Race: 2:55 Newbury
Favourite: 15/8 Jacks Craic
Reasons for opposing the favourite
-
- Won only 2/22 starts
- Has raced 5 times on Good and not won any
- Has come 2nd 7 times so may not like winning
- Jockey booking is frankly uninspiring
- Weighted up to the hilt with 11-12
- Has had a busy season

Taking this away should leave some value. I am happy to discount the following after a little bit of form searching
Batswing
One Cornetto
Jurado Express
O’Toole
It is also the percentage call to oppose the following
Spiritual Society
Roofing Spirit
Turgeonev
This leaves me with 3 selections and for the first couple of weeks i will play it save and go for all three.
1pt Master Rex
1pt Neltina
1pt Log On Intersky
Comments and advise on this system are appreciated.
The favourite won albeit at 4/1. -3pts
