    Hey all,

Was taking a look at the odds for the Tennis earlier today and noticed good old Roger Federer can be backed at 7/1 in some places! Having seen a fair bit of the tennis over the past week or so I’ve lumped on! Granted he faces Djokovic who hasn’t been beaten in a good while but Federer has the edge on clay with 2 victory’s to 1 and has a better overall head to head record (13 – 9).

The winner is likely to face either Rafa Nadal who hasn’t been playing his best tennis of late by his own admission but has to be respected due to having previously won the tournament 5 times or Andy Murray who has been playing through a twisted ankle  and has yet to win a major tournament.

Given that Nadal isn’t on best form i’d expect the winner of Federer Djokovic to go on to win the final, so come on Roger

Also did anyone happen to see the incident with the ball boy in Murray’s game today  http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/13607086.stm

What price on it appearing on Question of Sports, What happened next round in the near future?!?

Djokovic won’t lose, especially with Federer not as good as he once was, Nadal off his top game, and Murray playing hurt.

Danny has identified the value. Roger Federer, although playing in a tournament which he admits to be his least favourite – probably due to the surface – is actually playing very well.

If he can get past Djokovic, which is a big IF given the big Serbian’s recent form – and asumming Nadal is his opponent in the final, then Federer must have a great chance, especially as Rafa has been blowing hot and cold of late and hasn’t shown his usual Roland Garros brilliance this time round.

Well, looks like I was (happily) proven wrong. Roger’s still got it. Amazing match.

    Great game!

Thought the match was going to a fifth and final set tommorow when Djokovic went a break up at 5-4 but Federer played some incredible tennis to break back.

The final should be tight on Sunday, Nadal won’t be easy to beat but if Federer plays anything like he did tonight it’s his for the taking.
