King Of Conquest looks pretty short considering he hasn’t always looked 100% genuine. Seems to always race with a stable companion these days. Kemari takes the role today. KOC is often scrubbed along in his races and possibly needs a position on the outer of his field, without anything directly in front or closing him in. May have beaten Aimeric by 2 3/4 lengths last time but has to give 3 lbs here. So not that much between them. Yes, he should be favourite, but 2.6 compared to 6.2. I’ll have the 6.2 thanks.
Deaville Legend would walk this if in the form that saw him win the Voltigeur, but doesn’t seem to find much these days – going a lot better than King Of Conquest last time only to find nowt.
Crystal Delight is improving and I have saved on him. but is one of the 4 front / prominent runners of 6. Unusually for Newmarket it might pay to be held up. Have backed the other two as main bets Aimeric and the outsider Verbier. This distance could be the making of him and would have a big chance if improving as little as 7 lbs.
