Hello, in this thread I am going to place all of my place bets which will 9/10 times be very short prices as they will be favourites. I’ve been doing this for a few days and I’ve made a nice bit of money from it. Hopefully I can continue that here.

Was meant to only do place bets in this thread but I’m going to do a ‘win’ bet today as the horse is very good value for its ability.

April 23, 2011 at 17:52 #351827Hi there, Frankel.. fascinating stuff but where / how does one get a ‘place only bet’ on?
Best wishes from okjoe57
April 24, 2011 at 17:02 #351990okjoe57 – Hey Buddy, Not sure about all Bookies but i use Ladbrokes and Betfair and they both have a seperate place market to bet in !
However, problem is the odds are extremely short so you need to make sure you have a high strike rate, as a couple of losses if ya not carefull can really dig deep in ya pockets !

Hi
I had to work away for a week so was unable to get on here but I use Paddy Power to get my place bets on. Place market isn’t available the night before but it’s available on the day. I have a Victor Chandler account but they don’t do place betting (or I can’t find it) so I use Paddy Power for these bets.
I’ll have to get this going again, just need to sort out profit and loss.
Thanks

Yeah mate, odds are very short indeed but I’d much rather make about £25 then lose it lol although it is a risk because like you say if you lose a couple of bets then it hits you hard. It’s a bit insurance though backing a favourite to be placed as most of the time they at least find a place (the short priced ones)

Like my place bets but if I see something that I strongly fancy I’ll back it to win.
