    Some interesting reading here http://www.juddmonte.com/stallions/dansili/twoyearolds.aspx

I especially like the beautifully named daughter of Frankel and Love Divine – Cecile Brought a tear to my eye. Let’s hope she is good hey?!

    Happy New Year All

Two fillies catch my eye from that list
Mori (Midday) trained by Michael Stoute
Could be his best chance of a 1000 Guineas or Oaks winner for 2017

Unamed filly by Queens Logic – trained by Richard Fahey.

Good luck to them all.. :good: Jac

Thanks Tonge and Venusian for rescuing the thread! Yes Jac, the Midday filly is intriguing – let’s hope she can deliver Sir Michael back to the big time like her daddy did for Sir H. Also pleased to see Hugo Palmer already has a couple. He is the next big trainer and I predict big things for him in 2016. I also like the look of Franked trained by, in my eyes, the only trainer to rival dear old Henry, Andre Fabre.

So much to look forward with this lot and, as I’ve said before, I honestly think Frankel’s progeny will change the landscape of racing. He had so much in hand on the best of the rest and only needs to pass some of that down to produce crop after crop of stars. The ones I have seen so far look awesome specimens and what’s really exciting is that, judging by the variety of mares and Frankel’s versatility, we should see them running over all distances. It is quite conceivable that he will produce champion sprinters, milers and middle-distance horses. And, whilst most of them will improve as they get older, we also know there should be some pretty exciting 2 year olds.

Anyway the anticipation of it all will make those long winter nights fly by for this Frankel freak. :good:

I simply cannot wait. Judging by photos he has really stamped his offspring, both in looks and physique.

What an exciting season or two in store. Dar Re Mi was a favourite of mine so looking forward to her filly at three and four.

I had read a few reports indicating that he isn’t stamping his stock, hence the disappointing sales results. Perhaps the ones going through the ring are not typical, and we haven’t seen the best of them.

Interesting to see how the likes of Nathaniel, Excelebration and Harbour Watch get on as well.

Frankel has got one season, maybe two, in the limelight as a stallion before Australia, the next Galileo, starts to wipe the floor with him and then starts getting all the best mares.

Frankel’s progeny will have more then their fair share of temperament (like full brother Noble Mission) and many won’t have a distance (given their sire was the freak product of 1m 4f and 6f influences).

Frankel will do about as well at stud as Sea Bird and Brigadier Gerard did. =D

(Battens down the hatches in case of incoming =D)

Sea Bird didn’t do too badly considering he stood in the wrong country and wasn’t particularly fertile. Had he not died soon after his return to France I feel he would have done well. Agree about Brigadier Gerard though.

Australia has about a good a chance at stud as Frankel of doing well as a stallion i.e. a deal better than average, but no more than 50-50.

I don’t see Noble Mission’s temperament as being anything to worry about regarding Frankel’s genetic legacy. Think Fairway and Pharos for example.

Oh, Venusian, you’re forever pissing on my chips with your annoying superb knowledge and logic.

    You are correct, of course.

Joking aside, my point is horses who did on the racecourse exactly what they were bred to do often do well at stud.

Sadlers Wells wasn’t THAT brilliant as a racehorse but he had a superb middle distance pedigree and lived up to it and became a super stallion.

    Ditto Galileo.

I see Australia as being a similar type.

I loved Frankel but his pedigree is just too weird for me.

Australia the value at their respective fees. =D

Not forgetting Cape Cross of course. I can never stop singing his praises for siring the magnificent Ouija Board. :rose:
Nobody can predict how Frankel’s progeny will turn out until end of October this year when they have had time to prove themselves and I would hope that at least one of them if not two will be favourite to win a Classic in 2017. :yahoo: Jac

Glad to be of service, Lord Basingstoke!

Quite honestly, I don’t think either of them, Frankel or Australia, is good value.
