After many false starts I’d like to propose a meet up of TRF members at Kelso on 28th January (a Sunday). Let me know who fancies it – If we have a few
interested then perhaps I can sort out a special wee treat for the day !!
Anyone wishing to come up but needing to travel and stay overnight let me know if you need help finding/booking transport/accomodation.
December 29, 2006 at 22:43 #34834I’m going to make myself look totally stupid and ask how far it is from Edinburgh to Kelso. Anyone know?
December 29, 2006 at 22:51 #34835FSL – I’ll PM you details in the New Year – it’s about an hour by bus but I’m counting on you as a DEFINITE!
December 29, 2006 at 23:00 #34836No pressure then
December 29, 2006 at 23:00 #34837You just had to pick a sunday (working) and a course that is MILES from Norfolk, didn’t you?
Have fun! :)
December 30, 2006 at 00:08 #34838I’ll be intriuged to see if self confessed lover of Hamilton Park (and nowhere else from a spectating point of view) JTS shows up,I mean come on Jim it isn’t that far away!
I think we should try to organise something more central for the summer perhaps, much as I like Kelso it’s a bit far away for me these days.

December 30, 2006 at 00:28 #34839I’ll be doing my best to encourage Jim to come along GD. I’m planning to try and get a York and a Southern meet up organised for later in the year.
December 30, 2006 at 01:05 #34840It all depends on a few personal things being ironed out and if they are then I could just about make it, thing is though it’s NH racing we are talking about here :( , still, hopefully I’ll be able to attend but don’t count on it, the summer sounds a better idea to me and I’m desperate to meet up somewhere sometime.
I’ll make a decision nearer the time :o
December 30, 2006 at 01:30 #34841If York was offered as an alternative that sounds better to me Corm – plus its flat racing:biggrin:
December 30, 2006 at 02:21 #34842I’d have to buy a new jumper going that far North, Corm. (Just kidding – family business prevents that date).
Definite for the York meeting. If you do Sandown, I’d go to that too.
One thing. Is it to be gaudy username white T-shirts or pink carnations and an awkward personal introduction?;)
December 30, 2006 at 03:01 #34843Yes, I’ll probably be there .. bringing the missus and kids.
December 30, 2006 at 09:43 #34844Count me in!
One problem. I have a Burn’s Supper the previous night in Castle Douglas. Will have to do a bit of re organising to get there on time.
Regards
Kevin
December 30, 2006 at 10:10 #34845It is too far for me to travel, but I hope to join you all for one of the Southern outings.
Best wishes and hope you pick a few winners.
regards
Sandpiper
December 30, 2006 at 10:29 #34846I’ll be there should be a good day out.
December 30, 2006 at 10:40 #34847Wrong end of the country for me, but would try & get to Sandown for a meet up
Have a great day
December 30, 2006 at 13:50 #34848Just don’t forget to arrange a meeting place and contact details. Will always remember a previous forum meet-up where Craig asked some baffled bloke ‘excuse me, are you Old Rope waiting for Daylight?’
:)
December 30, 2006 at 17:34 #34849Count me in! I’ve booked the day off already :cheesy:
